Christianity and Christians in Egypt and in the Egypt?s Western Desert in particular

Abstract

The study focuses on how Christians in Egypt´s Western Desert can be discerned on the basis of the historical sources available. Finally a specific set of sources, namely ostraca, is introduced and preliminary observations are made.
