Abstract
Both domestic and foreign politics of nationally oriented artists associations in Prague were interconnected. Around 1900, Czech art modernists (Association of artists Mánes) as well as their opponents in Prague were active mainly in Vienna.
Modernists developed relations with their counterparts in Germany, too, paralel with their basic orientation to artistic France.
