The First Russian-Habsburg Agreements and Their Influence on the Power´s Struggle in the Central Europe on the Turn of the 15th and the 16th Century

Abstract

During the reign of Ivan III, Moscovia gained new politic possibilities and had to solve new problems. It had to contact countries in West Europe, which was interesting in Moscovia.

The first of them was the Habsburg Monarchy. Maximilian I closed with Moscovia two important agreements, which was focused against Jagellons.
