This short paper presents information than can be found in a very specific source relative to the Bishop´s Residence at Hradec Králové, i. e., the Ad Limina Reports of the Bishops of Hradec Králové. Within the framework of the Trent reform every bishop had to present every four years a detailed report on the state of his Diocese to the competent Roman Congregation.
Though this periodicity was not always followed, for the Hradec Králové Diocese, a very extensive report file has been preserved. Reports on the Residence are relatively brief and they usually refer to the preparations made for building the Residence and later mostly on the critical moments as occupation by the army or fire.
From the 19th century onwards, there are no more remarks on the Bishopric in the reports and the bishops limit themselves to stress their exemplary observance of their residence obligation.
