Abstract
This contribution deals with the major development steps in using of the linear perspective in painting during the history. We describe principles of the linear perspective.
We mention several incorrect methods used in imaging and focus on the analysis of some known artistic paintings. Applications of perspective projection are shown in the paper, for example non-linear perspective.
