Mutasynthesis of Lincomycin Derivatives with Activity against Drug-Resistant Staphylococci

Abstract

The lincomycin biosynthetic gene lmbX was deleted in Streptomyces lincolnensis ATCC 25466, and deletion of this gene led to abolition of lincomycin production.
