Abstract
This chapter holds up Humberto Maturana and Francesco Varela’s cybernetic notion of autopoietic machine as a parallel to what in philosophical discourse Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari have termed “desiring machines” whose operations bring about “transverse communications”.
