Abstract
This book focuses on an analysis of all major risks associated with long-term digital heritage preservation and explores digital preservation as a discipline. It introduces special terminology for the Czech context and provides definitions of concepts such as digital document or digital repository and it analyses the OAIS standard.
The largest section of the book is devoted to practical outcomes of digital preservation, i.e. preservation actions to ensure digital heritage sustainability, for example migration, emulation, persistent identifiers infrastructure, metadata schemas, format strategies, authentication of document, and many others.
